On the initiative of the “Credit, Finance, and Tax” Technical Group of Confindustria Siracusa, in collaboration with the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Siracusa and the Italian Association of Chartered Accountants, Siracusa section, a workshop titled “International Taxation and the Impact of Artificial Intelligence in the Context of Tax Reform” was held on Friday, June 28th at the Confindustria Siracusa headquarters.
The event provided a significant opportunity to delve into topics of great relevance, such as tax residency for individuals and legal entities, simplification of Controlled Foreign Corporations (CFC) regulations, the new tax regime for inpatriates, and the relocation to Italy of extra-EU outsourced activities.
A highlight of the workshop was the in-depth discussion on the Global Minimum Tax, a timely topic of growing interest to professionals and businesses alike. Additionally, there were discussions on artificial intelligence and its impact on the tax system and taxpayers, particularly with reference to the use of the metaverse.
